Registration commences February 15, 2018.
Registration information packages are available electronically by contacting Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at 587.336.7655 or [email protected]
Please note that registrations will not be processed without the signed waiver.
Completed registration forms can be dropped off to Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (lower level of the Riverbend Athletic Club) during business hours (Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.).
In order to ensure every participant gets the most from their attendance, capacity is limited. Due to the fact that the program can only accommodate a set number of children, registration will be on a first come first serve basis. In the event that the camp is full, the child can be placed on a waiting list, provided we have received all proper documentation. If a child is on the waiting list, the parent will be notified of their waiting list status once that child is on the top of the list.
Gracie Bullyproof Summer Camps are offered at Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for one week in July and in August. No experience is necessary and the camp is open to all children ages 5-14. These are our most popular camps of the year; so pre-registration is a must if you want to reserve a spot for your child. Camp dates will be announced in February 2018 and registration will be open March 01, 2018.
Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Bullyproof Summer Camp will help your child with:
Unshakable Confidence with Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
Bullies target children who don’t stand up for themselves. By giving your child the non-violent Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques to neutralize a physical attack, they will have the confidence to take a stand against bullies before the harassment spirals out of control.
Verbal Self-defense Training
Verbal harassment is more common, and often times more damaging, than physical harassment. To ensure your child is ready to identify and overcome these inevitable attacks, we conduct a series of specific role-playing exercises each day of the camp.
Fun and Fitness for All Ages
Kids don’t like to exercise, but they love to have fun. Each morning we begin with the “animal warm-up,” and throughout the day we play several other games designed to give your child the exercise they need and the fun they want!
Character Development & Drug Defense
The connection we develop with the camp participants is strong, and we use this connection to instill the life lessons that every child needs. Each day we choose a different topic, from discipline and healthy living to drug defense and abduction prevention, so your child is ready for life beyond the playground.
Free Gracie T-Shirt
If you pre-register before May 31, 2018 for the camp at Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, your child will receive a free Gracie t-shirt along with their Gracie Bullyproof Certificate of Completion at graduation!
Only $229 Per Child
Discounted Training for the Parents
“A family that trains together, stays together.” Realizing that many kids will be traveling with parents who believe in the Gracie Way, we offer all visiting family members 50% off regular group class rates for the week that they’re at the camp. If you’re brand new to the art, you can participate in our beginner Gracie Combatives classes, or Women Empowered (for the ladies), and if you’ve already earned your white blue belt, or higher, you’re invited to participate in the Master Cycle classes. If you have a white gi, bring it, if not, we have gis you can rent.
Note: Kids must have a white jiu-jitsu gi (uniform) to participate. Gis can be purchased directly through Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
