Jeff Greekas has been training in martial arts for almost 25 years. He started learning martial arts in the Edmonton area with some of the best and really enjoyed his local journey for two decades. He was able to travel to train with different instructors in serval countries throughout Asia. However, it wasn’t until in 2009 he travelled to Torrance, California, and visited the Gracie Academy Headquarter, that his path was truly redirected. Once he met Rener Gracie and experienced the unique training culture of the Gracie Academy - it was over; he was immediately hooked and committed to bringing the Gracie Academy training experience back to his hometown. He became officially certified to teach Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 2011 and has not stopped ever since. Frequently traveling all over North America, to assist Rener and/or Ryron Gracie with various training seminars and special forces training, Jeff is able to ensure that Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is truly representative of the original Helio style Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. His successes parallel his student’s successes and wholistic growth in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and you will experience this first hand with his teaching style. He is fascinated with instructing and is always looking for the most efficient way to pass the art on to his students. Jeff is very proud of his dedicated instructors and team at Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, including many students that have been on the mats with him since 2011.
